Noel Hickey works with bogwood – oak, yew, and pine, some as old as 5,000 years – to reveal its inner beauty, its rich colouring, intricate forms and exquisite patterning. He peels away thousands of years of deposits to create objects that speak volumes about the timelessness of nature. For his gift range of clocks, candleholders, lamps, mirrors, barometers, and coffee tables, Noel uses the natural sculptural qualities of each individual piece of bogwood – some of it simple, some ornate – to create distinctive feature pieces that will bring a unique sense of timelessness to any home.
