Cecilia Dragon

Born in Romania, Cecilia moved to Ireland where she

is now living with her two sons, since the year 2000. She’s always been artistic, loved needlework, drawing and painting. Since living in Birr, Co. Offaly, she had the opportunity to develop her painting skills and knowledge gained a LC in Art, Craft and Design from VTAS School.

She easily got inspired by the picturesque and historic town of Birr focusing her work on Batik images from it. She likes to show through her work the beauty of the ordinary everyday things that are around us. Similarly scarves have become a passion for her and she became inspired to create wonderful works of art on silk. Most of these are inspired by nature and by abstract images which create wonderful patterns together.
